Here comes one of the most popular stories from Indian folk. The monkey is a common character in Indian folktales. here comes a monkey story. Once upon a time, a naughty monkey lived in a forest. Every other animal was really annoyed by his pranks and plays. One day during his aerobic works the monkey fell down from the top of a huge tree. His tail was seriously injured. The monkey went to the local apothecary. The apothecary examined his tail, took his knife, and cut the wounded tail away at once. The monkey screamed in pain. He became really furious and put one demand, Put my tail back otherwise give me your knife.

This story is from Kerala. Once upon a time, a couple lived in a village. Undan and Undi. Undan was a lazy bug while Undi was a foodie. One day when Undi arose from sleep, she smelled the aroma of rice cakes from the neighborhood. She could not resist the temptation. After a long discussion, Undan and Undi decided to make rice cakes. Thus Undi went to her home and brought rice, jaggery, and ghee. Undan took Undi along with him and went to the forest to get wood. They picked up all the dry wood and made two big bundles.
