Diving into the making of Encanto we’ve uncovered so many awesome bloopers and four incredible deleted scenes. The deleted scenes are probably the strangest we’ve ever seen. Starting with Isabela’s secret love interest. Why is he covered in animal urine? You’re going to have to watch. Honestly, this seems more like a prank. Mirabel initially ran much farther than the river after her mom was badly injured. The setting and the circumstances were completely different, but the heart of the story was still there. In an earlier draft, we got a short adventure through Antonio’s room. We also got to see Luisa’s. You’ll never guess where her secret door led! And there was also a very wholesome scene of the two dads of the family trying to reassure Mirabel they love doing chores. Can you guess how Bruno got his name? And to tack onto the weird stuff Isabela was up to before the movie was complete, she could bring plants, or at least vegetables, to life. Weird, right? Watch to find out what kind. The movie went through a long story development period. With storyboards done up long before they landed on who characters fit the plot the best. Like one character was a daredevil. There were some strange twins. There was a power involving technology. Every character slowly came into their powers and their plotlines based on the way they would best interact with Mirabel.
