20 Disney References Hidden In Pixar's Luca

Pixar loves providing their fans with plenty of easter eggs, especially ones that relate to other Pixar films.

The studio’s latest animated flick Luca tells the story of two sea monsters named Luca and Alberto, voiced by Jacob Tremblay and Jack Dylan Grazer, who become human when they reach the surface and soon fall in love with the human world. Along the way they make new friends, experience new things, and go on an adventure that’ll change their lives forever. The film has more than a few of these hidden Disney details sprinkled throughout the film. Whether it be items from Wall-E, Up, and Finding Nemo lying around the streets of PortoRosso or even harkening back to classic Disney characters like Donald Duck and Pinocchio; the team behind Luca clearly had their fair share of fun. Luca also brings back some of Pixar’s traditions from the number A113, to the signature Luxo ball, and of course the Pizza Planet truck, but a different location requires the animation team to get creative.
Some of these easter eggs weren’t even done on purpose but were more like happy accidents, such as a certain hidden Mickey in the film and others detail the very location where these films were made. During most animated movies, fans don’t feel the need to keep their eyes peeled, but that’s a different story with Pixar films who never fails at pulling off a beautifully animated visual scavenger hunt.
