Major Similarities Between Cruella 2021 And The Devil Wears Prada!
Hey, TheThings fans! Welcome back to another video. If you’ve watched the Disney Cruella live-action film, you’ll understand why we’re so obsessed with the notorious villain and her newly revealed story.
In the film, Emma Stone brings to life a tortured and oddly relatable Cruella - at least in the beginning - to show us just how she ended up as the dog skinning villain we know from 101 Dalmatians.
However, while watching we discovered that Disney - whether intentionally or not - totally channeled an early 2000s classic that everyone loves, The Devil Wears Prada. In fact, the two films are so similar you could probably call Cruella The Devil Wears Prada 2.0.
Liberty vs. Runway? Who could even tell the difference.
So darlings, are you ready to never be able to look at either film the same way again? In this video we’re sharing with you all the similarities we found between the two films. From Cruella and Andy’s similar ambitions down to the identical character lines from each movie!
You can’t convince us that Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly and Emma Thompson as the Baroness isn’t the same person.
Not to mention we discovered one of the reasons why the films are so similar, any guesses?
Now that we know Cruella puts the de Vil in “Devil” we still do have to take a moment to appreciate how epic the live-action actually is. Kudos to the Cruella cast for this one!
