Last years when the lockdown happened due to the COVID 19 pandemic, theatres were shut down across the country. This left many filmmakers in an uncertain state with their projects, but OTT platforms came as the saviour for them. Several good movies like Shakuntala Devi, Dil Bechara, Laxmii got released on OTT platforms during lockdown and entertained people. It was the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar that released several movies during the lockdown of last year. And this year, for the second wave of pandemic, as theatres are closed again, many movies have associated with Hotstar for release. Upcoming horror comedy, Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam, is one of those movies. This movie, which was supposed to get released at the theatres is now getting an OTT release on Disney Plus Hotstar. The movie is guessed to be a fun riot with a touch of spookiness with such an ensemble cast. Another movie which will be released on Disney Plus Hotstar is Priyadarshan’s second instalment of Hungama. Hungama 2 is one of the most awaited movie and it stars Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezan Jaffrey, Pranitha Subhash, Johnny Lever and many more. This movie is marking the return of stunning actress Shilpa Shetty on silver screen. Reports are also suggesting that Dinesh Vijan’s upcoming movie Shiddatwill also get released on Disney Plus Hotstar. This movie has Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Diana Penty, Mohit Raina in lead roles. Sunny and Radhika are paired opposite each other while Diana is paired opposite handsome hunk Mohit Raina. Another much delayed project, Mimi, which stars Kriti Sanon, is getting released on Disney Plus Hotstar too. Kriti Sanon is playing the role of a young surrogate mother in this movie. Kirti Kulhari and Nivedita Bhattacharya’s road trip movie Shaadistan will also get released on this digital platform too.
