Disney has penned a deal with Sony for new Spider-Man movies and other content... but it basically relegates Disney+ and Hulu to being broadcast television. Netflix still gets new Sony content several months ahead of Disney. Still, it's better than not having a character you own, Spider-Man, missing from your platform altogether. Then Netflix's subscriber growth has seemingly stalled out in Q1, with some analysts saying "the jig is up!"
