Disney Pixar 'Onward' head of story explains film's origins, discusses lesbian character

Kelsey Mann is the head of story for Disney Pixar's "Onward," which hits theaters March 6, 2020. It's been a long process for Mann, who started working on the film in 2013. He explained the film's personal connection to director Dan Scanlon, discussed the history-making lesbian character voiced by Lena Waithe and showed Ryan and Val how to draw one of the film's main characters.
