Disney / Pixar has survived an animation industry "scandal" and rebuilt itself as a more "diverse" studio after the ousting of John Lasseter, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The new article promoting "Soul" seems to focus more on Lasseter's alleged misdeeds than the new "diverse" Pixar movie... ironically directed by a white man. Meanwhile, Lasseter is quiety pulling some of Disney's top talent over to Skydance. In other news, floundering comic book publishers are flocking to animation as a Hail Mary Pass.
