We haven't tried THIS at Animal Kingdom since Walt Disney World reopened! On December 3, 2020, we arrived at Disney's Animal Kingdom in the first hour of park operation! Most of the crowd was heading toward Pandora, so we decided to go the opposite way toward Dinoland U.S.A. where the Dinosaur ride was a walk-on with no wait at all. In fact, we got to stay on our ride vehicle and ride it two times in a row! After that, we stopped to rest in the amphitheater to wait for boats with characters to come by. We were able to see Pocahontas, Meeko, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Launchpad McQuack, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Santa Claus! It was the perfect way to start our relaxing morning in Animal Kingdom. Next up, we noticed that the wildlife was super noisy and active, especially the gibbons in Asia! So, we decided to take the Maharajah Jungle Trek, which we haven't tried since the Disney World theme parks reopened in 2020. We were able to see a tiger lounging along the way. After we finished the trek, we ordered some lunch at Flame Tree Barbecue -- the baked macaroni & cheese with pulled pork and a menagerie cupcake!
