Disney Theory: Maleficent Was Mother Gothel’s Master

We are going to examine why I believe Maleficent may be Mother Gothel’s final master. While in Tangled The Series we were alluded to the fact that she served Lord Demanitus and Zhan Tiri, I think it’s possible that after those masters Gothel turned to the Mistress of All Evil: Maleficent. How did Gothel know magic? How did she have magic mirrors? Why did she have Maleficent’s spinning wheel?
